Key Responsibilities: 

As a Service Charge Accountant at Pinnacle Property Management, you will: 

  • Manage all aspects of client accounting operations for leasehold properties, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial policies. 
  • Prepare and present service charge budgets, financial reports, and client accounts. 
  • Collaborate with property managers and finance teams to resolve client accounting queries and discrepancies promptly. 
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations. 
  • Ensure timely and accurate invoicing, collection of service charges, and reconciliation of accounts. 
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary contact for accounting-related matters. 
  • Implement robust internal controls to safeguard client funds and comply with regulatory requirements. 
  • Coordinate audits with auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with accounting standards and lease agreements. 
  • Lead and mentor the client accounting team, promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. 
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory updates, and best practices in client accounting and property management. 

Key Requirements: 

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification. 
  • Significant experience in client accounting, ideally within property management or real estate sectors. 
  • Strong knowledge of service charge budgets, financial reporting, and accounting principles (e.g., UK GAAP or IFRS).
     
  • Demonstrated experience in managing client relationships and providing excellent client service. 
  • Advanced analytical skills to interpret financial data, monitor performance, and provide strategic insights. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams. 
  • Ability to resolve complex accounting issues and discrepancies promptly and efficiently. 
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and ability to ensure compliance with accounting standards and lease agreements. 
  • Capability to adapt to changing priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines effectively.
