Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Waste Operative with experience in gutter and carpet cleaning to join our team. This role requires an individual who is capable of working independently, attending multiple residential sites throughout the working day, and ensuring that communal areas are maintained to the highest company standards. The position involves both routine and specialist cleaning tasks, as well as the safe collection and removal of bulk waste.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in communal areas, including lobbies, stairwells, and landings.
Collect and remove bulk rubbish, including heavy lifting where necessary.
Clean and disinfect bin storage areas.
Replace failed light bulbs and promptly report maintenance issues to Head Office.
Carry out routine cleaning duties including mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
Undertake gutter cleaning using a gutter vacuum system.
Perform carpet cleaning using an extraction machine.
Conduct minor maintenance tasks, such as repairing door closers and locks.
Candidate Requirements
Full, valid UK Driving Licence (mandatory).
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a wider team.
Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling and heavy lifting tasks.
Previous experience in carpet and gutter vac system. At least experience in one of these is needed training can be given for the rest(preferred).
Reliable, punctual, and professional in approach.
