Job Description:

The role of Client Accounts Manager is responsible for leading the team who in turn are responsible for the delivery of Client Accounts for TPG sites with significant Management Fee and Client facing requirements on behalf of our clients.

Key responsibilities and tasks include:

  • Team Leadership & Management – Oversee day-to-day operations, set objectives, conduct appraisals, manage performance, and ensure the team meets KPIs and business goals.
  • Resource Planning – Manage recruitment, induction, training, and ongoing development to ensure effective staffing and capability within the team.
  • Service Delivery & Compliance – Ensure timely and accurate delivery of client accounting services in line with SLAs, legislation, and industry best practices.
  • Financial Reporting – Oversee preparation and finalisation of RMC/RTM statutory accounts, tax filings, and service charge accounts, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
  • Process & Systems Management – Maintain and improve accounting systems, processes, and SOPs to ensure efficiency, control, and data accuracy.
  • Quality Assurance & Controls – Implement robust review procedures and quality checks to uphold high professional standards and service excellence.
  • Internal & External Reporting – Deliver timely, accurate internal dashboards and external client reports to support business and client needs.
  • Continuous Improvement & Collaboration – Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and strong cross-department collaboration to enhance service and efficiency.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

Candidates for this position should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ accountancy/finance experience (ideally in Service Charge Accounting or professional practice).
  • Strong bookkeeping knowledge, accounting principles, and commercial awareness.
  • Qualified/part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent).
  • Client-focused, organised, self-motivated, with ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrable management and leadership experience with excellent communication skills.
  • Analytical, inquisitive, and skilled in improving systems and processes.
  • Highly IT literate with strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Flexible to travel and attend office 2+ days per week after probation; ideally with property sector knowledge.
