Job Description:

The role of Paralegal is responsible for supporting the in-house legal team by handling both contentious and transactional landlord and tenant matters, providing legal advice, drafting documents, and managing casework and administrative tasks within residential property management.

Key responsibilities and tasks include:

  • Handle both contentious and transactional Landlord and Tenant matters, including boundary disputes, lease breaches, service charge issues, and lease extensions.
  • Provide tailored legal advice and support to colleagues across the legal team and wider business.
  • Draft and review legal correspondence and proceedings, such as Defences and Witness Statements.
  • Conduct detailed document reviews, legal research, and stay updated on Residential Property Management developments.
  • Manage administrative tasks, including compiling Court and Tribunal bundles and responding to legal advice requests.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

Candidates for this position should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Law degree or equivalent
  • Clear understanding and application of Landlord and Tenant Law and Civil Litigation
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to use own initiative but know when to seek guidance
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional pro-active approach
  • Ability to multi-task
