Position: Assistant Portfolio Accountant
Location: Hybrid – London/Vauxhall (SW8), twice a week
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Contract: 12-month FTC

Key Responsibilities and Requirements:
Role Specific Accountabilities
- Support the preparation of annual accounts for audit, including bank reconciliations and supporting documentation.
- Assist in managing the audit process in line with legislation and deadlines.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for clients.
- Support the set-up of new clients on financial systems.
- Assist in raising service charge demands.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and provide accounting information/analysis as required.
- Liaise with accounting teams and property managers to ensure accuracy and timeliness of records.
- Assist with monitoring cash flow and outstanding creditors.
- Support accounting for Developer Set-Up Funding.
- Assist with preparation and control of void service charges.
Previous Experience / Technical Competency:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent IT and numeracy skills.
- GCSE or equivalent Grade C+ in Mathematics and English.
- Working towards a recognised accounting qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
- Good knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks.
- Ability to work effectively under tight and conflicting deadlines.
- Team player with a “can do” attitude and practical approach to work.
