SENIOR PROPERTY MANAGER

ROLE OVERVIEW

This is an exciting opportunity to manage a central London residential portfolio comprising four developments, including three Higher Risk Buildings operating within the Building Safety Act regime. The role offers hands on exposure to some of the most significant areas of modern residential management, including building safety compliance, façade remediation projects, and stakeholder coordination across complex developments. One scheme is currently progressing through the Building Safety Regulator certification process, providing valuable involvement in remediation strategy, compliance management, and collaboration with consultants, contractors, and Responsible Persons.

Alongside building safety responsibilities, the portfolio includes newly onboarded developments transitioning from previous managing agents, offering experience in mobilisation, budget and service charge reviews, resident engagement, and implementing new operational standards from the ground up. ROLE EXPECTATIONS

This is a fast-paced, high-responsibility role requiring strong leadership, sound judgement and commercial awareness.

You will:

  • Take full ownership of your portfolio, ensuring consistently high service delivery
  • Lead, support and mentor junior team members
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with clients, residents and stakeholders
  • Oversee budgets, forecasts and financial performance with accuracy and control
  • Manage major works projects and Section 20 consultations end-to-end
  • Ensure full compliance with H&S, legislation and industry best practice
  • Proactively identify risks, resolve issues and drive improvements.

HOW YOU’LL SPEND MOST OF YOUR TIME

Most weeks, you’ll be:

  • Managing and overseeing a residential property portfolio
  • Supporting and mentoring Property Managers and team members
  • Attending client meetings, AGMs and board presentations
  • Reviewing budgets, forecasts and financial performance
  • Overseeing major works and contractor performance
  • Conducting site visits and ensuring compliance standards are met
  • Providing expert advice on leasehold legislation and best practice

You’ll work in a hybrid way, with a mix of home working, time in the office and site visits as required, trusted to manage your time and priorities effectively

EXPERIENCE THAT HELPS

  • Proven experience managing residential portfolios
  • Experience mentoring or managing team members
  • Strong understanding of Landlord & Tenant Act and leasehold legislation
  • Knowledge of RICS, ARMA and industry best practice
  • Experience with Section 20 consultations and major works
  • TPI qualification (or working towards)
