DEVELOPMENT DETAILS
You’ll be part of a new-build mixed-use neighbourhood in Plumstead that’s growing into a vibrant community of around 2,000 homes centred on a 1.8-acre landscaped garden square. The setting blends contemporary architecture with green, well-kept outdoor spaces and active ground-floor uses, creating a lively, people-first environment. With Plumstead station close by and fast Elizabeth line links from nearby Woolwich, you’ll work in a connected location that’s easy for residents and colleagues to access.

ROLE EXPECTATIONS
You will take pride in keeping entrances, corridors, lifts, amenities and external areas immaculate, welcoming and safe for residents and visitors. Most days you’ll follow a planned cleaning schedule, respond to ad-hoc requests, and liaise with the onsite team to keep standards consistently high. You’ll use the right equipment and materials to deliver a polished finish while working safely and efficiently.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
•  Shared spaces are consistently spotless, fresh and well-presented at all times.
•  You complete daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules on time and to specification.
•  You notice issues early, report maintenance needs promptly and follow up to resolution.
•  Residents and visitors feel welcomed by your courteous, helpful approach.
•  Health and safety procedures, including COSHH and safe equipment use, are followed without exception.
•  You communicate clearly with the estate team, updating on progress and priorities.

HOW YOU'LL SPEND MOST OF YOUR TIME
•  Cleaning lobbies, corridors, stairwells, lifts and amenity areas to a high standard.
•  Maintaining external areas, including sweeping, litter picking and keeping bin stores tidy.
•  Replenishing consumables and ensuring cleaning cupboards are organised and stocked.
•  Using and caring for cleaning machinery, tools and materials safely and effectively.
•  Managing waste and recycling in line with site procedures.
•  Logging and reporting defects, hazards and incidents to the onsite management team.

EXPERIENCE THAT HELPS
•  Previous cleaning experience in residential, hotel, commercial or public buildings.
•  Familiarity with using floor machines, vacuums and other cleaning equipment.
•  Knowledge of safe chemical handling and cleaning best practice.
•  Experience working to checklists or schedules and completing basic paperwork.
•  Customer-facing experience where professionalism and discretion are important.
