DEVELOPMENT DETAILS

You’ll be part of a welcoming, waterside community of 418 homes where well-kept communal areas and landscaped spaces are central to daily life. Set in Thamesmead with river views and open-air walkways, the development offers a calm, well-connected environment, with Woolwich Arsenal’s Elizabeth line and National Rail services nearby for easy journeys across London. You’ll take pride in keeping a busy residential setting pristine for residents who value clean, safe, and beautifully presented surroundings.

ROLE EXPECTATIONS

You will deliver consistently high standards of cleaning across internal and external communal areas, ensuring the development always looks its best. You’ll work closely with the on-site team, respond to resident requests with a friendly approach, and maintain a safe, tidy environment. You’ll follow daily schedules while remaining flexible for priorities like spillages, weather-related tasks, and contractor support.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • High-traffic zones, lifts, lobbies, corridors, and bin stores are maintained to a consistently high standard.
  • You spot issues before they become problems and report them promptly.
  • Residents feel listened to and respected, with any requests handled quickly and professionally.
  • Health and safety procedures are followed at all times, with accurate records kept.
  • You collaborate smoothly with the wider site team and contractors to keep the estate running well.

HOW YOU'LL SPEND MOST OF YOUR TIME

  • Cleaning and sanitising lobbies, corridors, stairwells, lifts, and other communal interiors.
  • Maintaining external areas such as entrances, pathways, and tidiness around bins and recycling points.
  • Managing cleaning supplies, equipment checks, and stock levels.
  • Responding to ad hoc tasks including spillages, weather-related clean-ups, and move-in/move-out support.
  • Reporting repairs, hazards, or damage and supporting access for contractors when required.
  • Completing daily checklists and keeping simple, clear records.

WHO THIS ROLE IS FOR

  • You take pride in creating clean, welcoming spaces and notice the small details.
  • You’re reliable, punctual, and comfortable working independently within a friendly team.
  • You communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, colleagues, and contractors.
  • You’re safety-conscious and follow procedures, especially around chemicals and equipment.
