ROLE OVERVIEW
Are you a part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) looking to develop your financial accounting career within a growing and well-established organisation?
Rendall & Rittner are looking for a Financial Accountant to join our Group Accounts team, supporting accurate financial reporting, strong financial controls and key accounting processes across the business.
Working closely with the Financial Controller, you’ll play an important role in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting month end reporting and improving accounting processes across a multi entity organisation.
This role offers excellent exposure across the finance function and would suit someone who is analytical, organised and motivated to continue progressing their accounting career.
ROLE EXPECTATIONS
This role requires someone who is detail-focused, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
You’ll take ownership of key accounting activities including reconciliations, billing processes and financial schedules, ensuring financial records are accurate and well maintained. You’ll also work closely with colleagues across the organisation to investigate discrepancies, resolve queries and maintain strong financial discipline.
Alongside day-to-day accounting responsibilities, you’ll contribute to improving financial processes, reporting and systems within the finance team.

HOW YOU’LL SPEND MOST OF YOUR TIME
Most weeks, you’ll be:
- Reviewing income streams to ensure accurate recognition and completeness
- Managing billing processes and allocating incoming cash
- Reconciling financial systems including Sage and Propman
- Performing bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting month-end close and financial reporting processes
- Preparing variance analysis across income and expenditure
- Maintaining financial schedules including rent, rates and service charges
- Processing payments in line with company policies and financial controls
- Supporting internal and external audit processes
- Contributing to improvements in financial reporting and accounting processes

EXPERIENCE THAT HELPS
- Experience supporting month-end and financial reporting
- Experience preparing reconciliations and financial schedules
- Experience using accounting systems such as Sage, Propman or similar
- Understanding of financial accounting principles and controls
- Experience supporting audit processes
- Experience within property, real estate or multi-entity environments (helpful but not essential)
