About the Role
Insurance is a critical component of the service we offer our residential clients. In the UK, Odevo has launched a Group-wide Insurance strategy, led by Alexander Bonhill (ABL), our in-house retail insurance broker. This role, Insurance Account Director, plays a central part in developing and delivering our insurance placement strategy for both Odevo’s UK companies and third-party clients.
You will lead end-to-end placement strategies, relationship management, performance delivery, and product innovation across our UK insurance portfolio. Reporting into ABL’s leadership, you’ll drive commercial performance and operational excellence while being the main liaison between stakeholders and the wider insurance market.
Key Responsibilities
Policy Placement & Relationship Management

Develop and execute the UK insurance placement strategy across managed and third-party clients

Manage relationships with UK OpCos, wholesale broker markets, and insurance partners

Negotiate directly with insurers and oversee the full renewal cycle

Deliver on key commercial KPIs including retention, growth, and satisfaction

Handle insurance queries and deliver exceptional service to all assigned accounts

Develop new insurance products and distribution channels to scale the business

Streamline ancillary cover placement (D&O, Legal, Engineering, etc.)
Leadership & Business Growth

Act as Insurance Liaison with senior stakeholders, MDs, and PM teams

Provide training to internal teams to support insurance product growth

Drive initiatives that increase client satisfaction and revenue

Represent Alexander Bonhill’s brand, mission, and values internally and externally
Claims Strategy & Process Improvements

Build strong working relationships with adjusters, brokers, and insurers

Oversee the delivery of robust claims performance metrics across the portfolio

Host monthly review meetings with claims adjusters and enforce SLA adherence

Lead analysis on claims trends and propose process and service enhancements

Develop and implement automation tools (FNOL forms, triage solutions, etc.)

Track and improve key metrics: claims cycle time, satisfaction, and complaint resolution

Your Experience
To thrive in this role, you will need:

A degree-level qualification

Strong understanding of insurance products and the end-to-end insurance value chain

Previous experience leading commercial insurance portfolios

Experience in property management or real estate insurance (highly desirable)

Excellent writing, communication, and analytical skills

Confidence negotiating with senior stakeholders and external partners
